Wu Chun Yin

Introduction to Wu Chun Yin

Wu Chun Yin (b. 1985, Guangzhou) has been residing in Hong Kong since 1993. He graduated from the School of Art at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia in 2007, where he received the award for Best Graduate Work. He later went to Spain to study under the renowned New Realist painter Antonio Lopez Garcia. In 2022, his work was highly regarded and acquired in full by a prominent collector at an art fair. His recent solo exhibition at Art Central in 2024 also achieved a sold-out success.

In recent years, he has established a studio in Taiwan, where he now lives and works. Wu is known for deconstructing and reassembling elements of everyday life to explore the blurred boundaries between reality and the unreal. By intentionally creating discord in spatial relationships and color harmony, he highlights the transience and flux of life. His work has been exhibited in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, and Spain, including at the MEAM Museum in Barcelona and the Touch Gallery in Hong Kong.
