Cheuk Ka Wai

Introduction to Cheuk Ka Wai

In 2017, Cheuk Ka Wai earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During her time at the university, she excelled academically and creatively, earning numerous awards. Her educational journey, internships, and exchanges have taken her to various locations including South Korea, Taipei, Beijing, and Zhejiang. Upon entering the art scene, she quickly made a name for herself at various art expos and auction markets such as Sotheby’s and Christie’s, achieving remarkable success.

Cheuk Ka Wai’s meticulous brushwork focuses on birds, animals, flowers, and other subjects, portraying scenes that resemble frozen moments in time, capturing transient movements or serene and cool moments under the eaves of a courtyard during the scorching summer, as well as scenes reminiscent of exotic realms with vibrant creatures. Her paintings also depict tranquil gardens untouched by human presence, resembling an idyllic paradise. With a vividness reminiscent of fairy tales, her imagery almost allows viewers to smell the fragrance of flowers and hear the chirping of birds.
