Fok Wai Chung

Introduction to Fok Wai Chung

Chantal Fok graduated with a Master of Buddhist Studies from The University of Hong Kong and a Master of Arts in Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Deeply interested in the history and art of Tibetan Buddhism, Fok went on to study Thangka painting in Shangri-La and Nepal after graduation. She spent her early years studying Chinese fine-line painting and traditional Thangka techniques. Through her exploration of both artistic traditions, her works create a new perspective from which to view the world.

Fok has participated in various solo and group exhibitions, and her works have been collected by private banks as well as private collectors in Hong Kong and overseas.

In 2016, she founded Soul Matters Studio and has since been actively promoting Thangka art in Hong Kong, hoping to enable people from different religious backgrounds to experience the spiritual essence of Tibetan Buddhism.
